Shawnta Pride-Daniels

Shawnta Pride-Daniels hails from West Helena, Arkansas. She relocated to Florida with
her family during her sophomore year in high school. Mrs. Pride-Daniels was awarded a vocal
scholarship to Bethune Cookman University. She is a proud alumna of both Bethune Cookman holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Mrs. Pride-Daniels is the best
mom to her two daughters, who are both college graduates.

She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and is an active member of the
Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter. She is also a lifetime member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. With a heart for educating the community it is no surprise that Shawnta served as an educator in the Duval County Public Schools for more than 12 years in several positions ranging from Reading/Language Arts teacher, Reading Coach, and finally Assistant Principal. With several leadership roles underneath her belt, Mrs. Pride-Daniels began to expand her horizons, serving as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ), Firm Administrator for The Daniels Law Firm, partner in II Dope Chics, LLC and co founder of II Dope Chics Who Give a Care, Inc., which is a not-for-profit dedicated to providing goods and services to underserved, marginalized communities.

Mrs. Pride-Daniels has been voted “Best Social Events Creator” Best Boss Awards 2023;
Recipient of the Vanguard Women of Impact in Arts and Culture by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Greater Jacksonville Chapter; and, recognized by the Rotary Club of Bartram Trail-Julington Creek. She also has the esteemed honor of serving as a Trustee for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and as an HBCU alum, she serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Wiley University in Marshall, Texas. In her leisure time, Mrs. Pride-Daniels travels the world and loves all things fashion.
